What is a 15,000 BPD crude oil refinery?
To achieving the development of a 15,000 BPD modular crude oil refinery capable of processing into key products like: petrol (PMS), kerosene, diesel, etc., and the development of local content capacity in refinery process and equipment designs. The petroleum refining sector has undergone significant rationalization in the last three decades.
How many BPD does a refinery produce a day?
The average refinery size is about 150,000 barrels per day (bpd), of which 81% results in transport fuels. Our future refinery produces only one-third of the hydrocarbon transport fuels required today, or about 40,500bpd. This equates to about 5,600tons per day.
