How does a groundnut oil extraction machine work?
A mechanical means of extracting oil was designed, constructed with locally available materials and tested for groundnut oil extraction. The machine consists of the frame, hopper, gear reduction unit and the power shaft. It was powered by a 1 hp three-phase electric motor.

We recommend that more work be done on the extraction efficiency of the machine in other to improve its oil extraction rate. Also the incorporation of sensors in the feed screw in other to avoid the over loading of the machine should be duly considered.
